How to Prune your Garden and when to Pruning
If It Flowers Before June Don't Prune
*Things that flower before June are flowering on wood or stems produced last year so don't cut them off before its had chance to flower, if you have time to prune it properly. Plants that flower later can have a trim in the early spring because they will flower on new growth later in the year.

Fruit for Thought. A Down to Earth Talk. Plant Your Fruit Now for Next Year
It's a very good time to plant fruit and the rest of your garden. The soil is moist and still warm giving shrubs, perennials, trees and fruit the optimum chance of establishing before we have winter dormancy. They can get their roots in the ground so they will be strong and ready to grow from April onwards next year.

Pots In The Garden
We do have a great selection of neutral pots in styles from
modern to rustic. I think pots look most effective when they blend or are the
same style or similar. A cacophony of odd pots can look cluttered. Also they
don't need to shout louder than the plants, the plants are the story.

Potato Varieties In Stock 2020
There is very little potato stock now available anywhere
due to the surge in GYO.
One of the main enquiries at the present is what potatoes do we have in stock, so here is a list of potatoes and onions and also shallots.

Potatoes go in traditionally on Good Friday and onions and shallots go in now.
We buy our spuds now and most let them form little sprouts or chits. It is considered this gives them a head start but it is not essential.
