Supporting Your Garden Plants
This time of year its important to get the right frame work into your borders. No one wants floppy flowers. You need to get the supports in now before the plants get too big and before you damage them, particularly perennials like delphiniums and paeonies.
If your feeling adventurous why not have a go at making your own supports with hazel, willow or cornus, just as Julia and I have here. We attempted a willow support on my lovely white paeony but I think we probably need a few more lessons from Gina in our Willow Workshop later this year! (August 3rd)
For now we will stick with our beautiful rustic supports and obelisks that blend in so perfectly with the plants.
