My Go-Too Shrub Hypericum

It may not be evergreen but it flowers for ages
This seasonal bed displays a gorgeous selection of dwarf hypericum. This has got to be a go-too mid height shrub.

It may not be evergreen but it flowers for ages, theberries are as pretty as the dainty flowers. I love the long stamens in the flower that protrude like fluffy eyelashes.

I have found this shrub hardy and versatile and the dwarf varieties squeeze in to all the little holes you find in your border that just need something to fluff out and fill them. Planted next to red, yellow or deep green foliage these make great companion plants. Choysia ternata in green or 'Sundance' the yellow, dark red 'TomThumb' pitasporum, deep green Viburnum tinus.....
There are so many shrubs it plants well next to.
