These gorgeous blooms are Primula veristar Lemon or Primular elator in the Primulaceae family.
This is family that includes the primrose (primula vulgaris), auricula (primula
auricula), cowslip (primula veris) and oxlip (primula elatior)
It is hardy will reach about 25cm tall and a spread of 30cm and will grow well in partial shade.
Oxslips have a slightly paler more open flow than a cowslip but still enjoy growing naturally in a good lump of cow dung! Ox slop refers to the obvious!
