The Snowball Bush, Viburnum opulus Roseum

The Snowball bush is aptly named. It’s a strong viburnum. It’s also quite a large shrub at 2.5-4m if you grow it into a small tree.

It’s deciduous but has lovely autumn colour. It will grow well in our soils round Buckingham and does not

need lime free. It’s fully hardy. It really is not not a shrub you need fuss worry about, which is why it can make a successful hedge.  The most amazing thing is these big  snowball blooms in spring.

Compact varieties are also available so you can grow a much smaller bush and enjoy the flowers if it suits your garden better.
