Agapanthus Is Looking Amazing

There is very little to compare to the vivid blue of agapanthus. This is the the flower that always reminds us of Cornwall and one of my favourite places the Silly Isles.

Most of the varieties available now are tough and quiet easy to grow and neglect as I reputedly do. Mine have sat in pots for years and flower profusely from mid to late summer. When they are not in flower there is still a grassy green covering of foliage.

If the autum after flowering I will give them a feed to take to bed. During the winter I will pull the pots close upto the house for a little more shelter and warmth but it is rather exposed here.

Agapanthus are not just limited to blue. This is Enigma a huge bicolour and the simple whites can look really fresh.
