I don't think there is anything that actually flowers all year but there are some wonderful evergreen foliages, colurful bark and flushes of berries. How to Plant Containers for Autumn and Winter Interest.
 These terracotta bowls made by Yorkshire Flower Pots look great planted for Autumn/Winter and Spring /Summer interest. We have used small evergreen shrubs, grasses, ferns herbs violas, perennials and bulbs. In the  Autumn/Winter when the bedding is finished we dedicate a poly tunnel to container plants, so it is easy to find an interesting mix. Many of these are small evergreens with interesting foliage because foliage can be just as attractive and colourful as flowers and more dependable.

Reorganizing and Replanting Snow Damaged Borders

Most of us have lost a few shrubs and perennials to the cold weather. Unfortunately when the freezing temperatures have damaged the roots it may not be completely apparent what has been affected until the weather warms up and the plants try to grow. I’ve lost my Ceanothus that I had enjoyed for years, Rosemary and Lavender. Luckily it’spring and that means it is time to plant some new interest and reorganise a few shrubs which are perhaps not positioned in the best place.
