Another gorgeous viburnum with evergreen foliage, fragrant spring blossom and great autumn colour. This is Burkwoodii
The photo was taken this morning in the sunshine. This is my Viburnum Burkwoodii which is fully established. It is a large shrub with both spring and autumn seasonal interest. I just keep it pruned to a comfortable size. Its about 1.5m and grows in a mixed shrub and perennial border.
The fragrance is one of the best in the garden. It is really lovely and uplifting.
The leaves are more glossy than viburnum tinus which grows more compact but does have that impressively long flowering period.
