Tipis Restored and Re-opening After Devastating Storm Darragh Damage

After a monumental effort by so many people we are delighted to announce the tipis will be back open from tomorrow (Friday 13/12/24)

Our fully booked Christmas Comedy night goes ahead, and Festive Afternoon Tea are well and truly on the Christmas menu. Next year the Tipi looks forward to many weddings, further comedy (first on Valentine’s night,) music and social events.

In just days following storm Darragh we’ve managed to completely restore The Garden Tipi.

Credit to our nursery team who immediately responded to our mayday call as Oak and his fiancé held on to the ripping canopy in the raging winds.

South westerlies ripped the canvas leaving it exposed, set to destroy the whole structure and contents. Only because help came so quickly were we able to secure it and limit the damage.

It’s restored and now stronger and better than ever, raring to go.

We have replaced both canvas along with installing additional high wind protection bars, straps and pads to make sure the tipis remain safe and available for everyone to enjoy!

There are too many people to thank, from The Tipi Company for making us two replacement canvases in less then 48 hours, the team who worked until midnight to install yesterday to all the tipi and nursery team who helped get our pop up café going and all the work that has gone on today to get them ready to open back up!
