Rosy Hardy Talks about Cottage Garden Perennials in June





Rosy Hardy,always an inspiring speaker the owner of Hardys Cottage Garden Plants in Hampshire, is going to talk to us about the plants she stocks and the ones she takes to display at The Chelsea Flower Show. She will then show us how to create a display for Chelsea.

 Rosy Hardy is an award winning nurserywoman and has been growing herbaceous perennials commercially for the past 17 years, with the nursery appearing on national television and Rosy regularly contributing to the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Show TV specials. Rosy was immersed in plants and gardens from a very early age, taking inspiration from both her mother and grandmother and ending up as a prize winning student at Writtle College.  The current nursery at Whitchurch was set up in 1991. Rosy has an exhausting show circuit  that runs virtually all year; their efforts have not gone unnoticed as she has been a consistent medal winner at RHS Westminster Flower Shows and 20 Gold Medals at The Chelsea Flower Shows. Also Gold Medal Garden Designer at The Hampton Court Flower Show in 2001 and 2004.
She will bring a number of plants to sell and we are fortunate here at Preston Bissett to be able to stock some of her Chelsea varieties.
