#Preston Bissett Nurseries This May


There is a lovely new coffee bar at Preston Bissett Nurseries as Peter and Jacky Richardson’s family run nurseries branches out with fresh coffee and homemade cakes. Sit around the wood burner while its chilly and very soon you can step outside to the new outside seating area.

The nurseries have been in Preston Bissett since 1984 and has the most overwhelming choice of plants including old favourites and many new exciting varieties. Originally a Nurseries growing cottage garden delights, summer bedding and dried flowers you will now find everything including great ranges of David Austin Roses, herbs, ferns, fruit bushes, trees, climbers and hedging. If you can’t make a visit many of the shop’s homeware items and plants can be found on their website and large Ebay Store for fast mail order.

The popular garden school programme for green fingered enthusasts is jam packed with horticultural sessions and opportunities to get hands on gardening tuition. The eagerly awaited Hanging baskets workshops start in May with 3 dates on the programme and there is also some creative days where you can developed you skills in Willow Weaving or painting horses and chickens.

This is an individual Nurseries with charm and character. It’s a place to come and really enjoy choosing your plants and browsing the country shop and now you can also relax and enjoy refreshments during your visit.
