How to Create Winter Colour

We all need cheering up in the winter so here are a few ideas for winter colour

Mahonia 'Charity'

Evergreens are your best friend this time of year but what a variety of foliage colour we have from the marbled photinias  to the siver euronymus. Look around and you will also find quiet a few shrubs in flower. Mahonia is fabulous with its bright golden plooms.



Viburnum tinus probably one of the most celebrated winter shrubs  is beginning to look spectacular.There are lots of new varieties all with slight variations. Here we have a particularly lovely variety called Spirit.

If its fragrance you are seeking look no further than a daphne. Here we have Daphne 'Aureamarginata' just beginning to open its scented buds.
