Frequently Asked Questions About Our Current Local Deliveries

(1) Are you open?

From the 15th of May we will be changing our opening hours in line with new government recommendations. You will have three ways to shop with us. We ask that if you are just looking to purchase sundries, compost or fencing to choose options (1) or (2). Please only make an appointment (3) if you aim to purchase plants or pots, with a minimum spend of £25.

Three shopping options:

Delivery only

Collection only

Appointment only visits to the Nursery 

2. How do I place an order for delivery?

Please email shop@thenurseries.com with your order, telephone number, and address, and a member of the team will get back to you.

3. Do you do collections?


Yes, Please email shop@thenurseries.com with your order and telephone number. When processing the order, you will be contacted by a member of the team. An allotted time will be given to you along with instructions of where to pick up your order from. Please note, pick up zones will be outside the gate in zones, please do not come onto site while picking up your collection.

4. Where do you deliver to?

Our delivery schedule and costs can be found on our blog and on our website.

5. Do you have a minimum order?

Our minimum order for all deliveries and collections is £25.

6. Where do I find what’s in stock?

We are updating our availability lists as fast as we can. They are uploaded onto our blog once completed. Please note, we are not an online business and our availability lists are susceptible to changes due to availability of stock. This will be confirmed with you over the phone, once the order is placed. All Availability Lists

7. Can I order online?

No, we are not set up as an online business. Our availability lists are uploaded onto our blog for you to look at. Please email shop@thenurseries.com with your order and we will call you to process the order.

8. What happens after I send an email?


Once we receive an order (either for delivery or collection), we will process them in the shop (due to a backlog - this can take up to 10 working days). We will then call you to confirm the order, your address, and take payment over the phone. We always try to ring you twice and leave a message, so don’t worry if you miss us, just follow the instructions left on your voicemail. We will then let you know when your order will be delivered.

9. How long will it take to receive my order?

We have experienced a high volume of orders since moving to delivery only. Therefore, it can take around 7 working days between you placing an order and it being processed. When we process the order with you over the phone we will be able to give you an estimated delivery date. This is subject to change as the process is new to all of us.

10. I’d like to make additions, substitutions or change my order, how do I do this?

When we call you to confirm the order and take payment please tell us if there are any changes you would like to make. Please do not email us twice, as it is more likely that we will miss your order.
